Introduction to the Wall Family!

Introduction to the Wall Family!

Hello!  We are the Wall family!  My name is Jennifer, and this is my first blog!  I am so excited!  I have always loved to write.  I wrote stories constantly while in school, but not so much as an adult.  I hope this will be an avenue to be able to write while also encouraging others along the way.

I am so blessed to have been able to serve the Lord with my family in Washington State for 19 years and now to get to travel to visit churches and missionaries.  The Lord has been so very good to us.  I hope to share little stories and lessons along our journey.  Sometimes it might be a lesson the Lord has taught me and other times it might be a funny story or some mishap – I have a few in mind right now!

Since this is my first post, I thought I would tell you a little more about my family.  First, we have Tim – my husband.  I call him Timpy.  He loves the Lord, and he loves his wife.  He calls me Sweetie Pooh.  If you have met my husband, you know he loves his wife.  It’s obvious to everyone around us, especially our children.  Ephesians 5:25 says, “Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it.”  My husband daily demonstrates this Christ like love for me and I am so thankful.

When we met, we knew almost immediately that this was the Lord’s Will for our lives.  I had been saved since I was a little girl, but he been saved less than two years when we started dating.  It was amazing to me how much we agreed on everything!  He had grown so much in the short time he had been saved and had such a thirst for things of God.  I had no idea that the Lord would take us across the country and start a church.  I had no idea about all the blessings and all of the trials that would come our way.  However, I would choose it all over again.

Jason is our first born.  I have always called him Bud.  When we were expecting, we read in Acts 17 where the Jews that did not believe assaulted the house of Jason.  Verse six says, “ And when they found them not, they drew Jason and certain brethren unto the rulers of the city, crying, These that have turned the world upside down are come hither also.”  We knew that he would turn our world upside down – in more ways than one!  So, Jason was the perfect name for our Bud.

Layla is our second.  She never goes by Layla.  Her nicknames range everything from Lulu to Chip to Munchkin to Chippy Chop to Taters to Blossom to Laylay.  It all depends on who you ask.  Our children are 21 and 16 now, but I call them my babies.  (My grandma called my dad her baby until he died at age 54, so I figure it’s ok!)  They are so very precious to me.  I am so thankful to be their momma!  My greatest desire is that they would always follow the Lord and stay in His perfect Will for their lives!  3 John 4 says, “I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.”  This is so very true!  Nothing brings me more joy than when my children are serving the Lord!

And then there is me.  I love serving the Lord with my family.  I love being in churches and meeting God’s people.  I love to write and send cards the old-fashioned way – through the mail!  I love to cook!  I love to shop!  (Thrift store shopping is the best!) Weird fact – growing up I loved to eat pig brains!

I hope you will join me for future blog posts.  I hope it will be a sunny spot of your day and a bit of encouragement along life’s pathways.

Love and prayers!
